'Padmavat' breaks box office records of Shah Rukh and Salman films, highest grossing film
Ranveer Singh's film, Padmavat, has become the highest grossing film on Republic Day, breaking the record of Shahrukh Khan's 'Rais' and Salman Khan's 'Jai Ho' at the box office.
New Delhi: On the first day, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavat' had released many records on the box office as soon as it was released. However, the record breaking record is still not there. The film has so far earned Rs 56 crore box office in two days. Along with that Ranveer Singh's film has broken the record of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Rais' and Salman Khan's 'Jai Ho' at the box office.
By breaking the box office record of these films of Shah Rukh and Salman, Padmavat has become the highest grossing film on Republic Day. Padmavat has earned Rs 32 crores on the second day i.e. on January 26. Talk about Shahrukh's 'Rais', the film was released on January 25, 2017. 'Rais' had earned a box office of 26.30 crores on January 26
Salman Khan's 24 January 2014 movie 'Jai Ho' had earned Rs 25 crore on January 26. With these earnings, both of these films were still the first and second places in the box office earnings on the Republic Day. Those who are now Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor's 'Padmavat' have left behind.

At the same time, the movie 'Padmavat' was released on the first day of the release was Rs 19 crore. The film's paid screening was done a day before the same release, in which the film had earned Rs 5 crores. Along with this, with the earnings of 24 crores on the first day of the release, the film has become Ranbir Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's biggest opener till now. Though talk of Deepika's films, the film did not break the record of 'Happy New Year'.
