Pakistan is threatening to oppose Padmavat: Karani army

Lokendra Singh Kalvi, the National Coordinator of Karani Army, said that he would harm Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the producer of the film, on a financial basis and his demand is now to ban the film.

Dehradun : The Rajput organization Karani army once again threatened the producers of the controversial film 'Padmavat' to face serious consequences on the release of the film on January 25. The CBFC has given permission to release 'Padmavati' after 'Padmavat' after some modifications. 'Padmavat' will be released in India on 25th January. However, the film will not be released in Rajasthan.
Lokendra Singh Kalvi, the National Coordinator of Karani Army, said that he would harm Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the producer of the film, on a financial basis and his demand is now to ban the film. He also urged the Prime Minister and the Censor Board to understand the "sentiments" and the "seriousness of the issues" behind their demonstrations. He threatened that if the film was released then things like curfew would be done.

The organizer of the Karani army said that the film was produced during the ban on bondage. They demanded investigation into the money involved in the film. Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor are in the lead role in the film. Kalvi also alleged that he was getting threatening phones from Pakistan to protest against the film, whose location was 'near Lahore'. They asked, "Why Pakistan is showing so much interest in this matter."

Prior to the press conference in the Press Club, Kalvi met with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat with the officials of his organization and demanded banning the film in the hill state. The organization said that it is justified to demand ban on Kalvi's film. Their motive is to protect the honor of Rajput, because they are descendants of Maharana Pratap's 24th and 37th generation of Rani Padmavat
