Security arrangements made by Delhi Police for peaceful screening of 'Padmavat'
Police said that the city's police is also in touch with the police of the neighboring state to collect information about the anti-social elements that have used to block the screening of the film
New Delhi: Delhi Police has made security arrangements outside the national capital's theaters so that the controversial film Padmavat can be shown peacefully. These arrangements have been made in the wake of the threats received by different organizations. Police said that the city's police is also in touch with the police of the neighboring state to collect information about the anti-social elements that have used to block the screening of the film.
Delhi Police Chief Spokesperson Dipendra Pathak said, "In view of the release of the film, we have made adequate arrangements. Police stations are in touch with cinema houses. A small space will be left in the hall so that the hall can be reached in the shortest possible time.
The official said that coordinating with other states is being arranged to share information about groups planning to commute.
He said that the special branch of Delhi Police is also gathering information on local level about disturbing any kind of anti-social elements.

Earlier this film was to be released on December 1. But after the controversy grew, the film's release date was deferred. Now the film is being released on January 24.
