After PadMan, Akshay Kumar begins shooting for Kesari, shares pic

Akshay Kumar also shared a pic on his Instagram account from the sets of Kesari.

After PadMan, Akshay Kumar has started the shooting of his next project Kesari. Our very own PadMan, Akshay shared pic from the film sets. In the pic, Akshay can be seen donning the traditional heavy turban.

Akshay is looking excited in the pic in which he can be seen posing with kids. The kids are looking cute donning Afghan dress. Sharing the picture from the Kesari sets, Akshay wrote, ‘’Innocent smiles galore on set today! Shooting with these lovely children playing Afghani kids in #Kesari based on the Battle Of Saragarhi, one of the bravest battles fought in India.’’

Kesari is produced by filmmaker Karan Johar and he also shared his excitement for his film through a tweet. He tweeted, ‘’Such an exciting journey this film has been...am so excited and proud to be associated with #kesari.”

Akshay earlier talking about his film said, ‘’I’ve started shooting for my film Kesari, where I’m in the heaviest turban and beard I’ve ever had to wear. So I shaved my head to make my life a little easier. I’m known for hating wigs, prosthetics and so on, and Kesari is quite demanding. It’s probably my favourite look, though it’s taxing to fight and sweat in this avatar. But I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Kesari is helmed by Anurag Singh also stars Parineeti Chopra in lead role. The film is scheduled to release on Holi 2019.
