Not only the Hindi film industry but the entire nation was shocked and left grieving as soon as they got to know that veteran actress Sridevi passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest late Saturday in Dubai. Her mortal remains are being brought to India and if latest reports are to be believed, due to the delay in the forensic report, her mortal remains will reach Mumbai later in the afternoon.
From Indian stars to Indian political personalities to Pakistani icons, her fans and admirers expressed shock and disbelief. Celebrities from all walks of life mourned the death of the actress. It was indeed a black day for Bollywood. While some posted Sridevi’s picture and posted a message, others shared their last moments spent with the actress. One such admirer of Sridevi is Sonakshi Sinha.
Sonakshi took to Instagram and posted a video of her with the diva dancing on her famous song ‘Hawa Hawai’ from the movie Mr. India. She wrote, Those big expressive eyes, beautiful smile and immense talent was a big part of my childhood. Thank you for the inspiration and memories Sriji. There never was, and never will be anyone like you, the movies have lost one of their biggest and brightest stars today, but you will live on in our hearts. #RIP #hawahawai
Not only the Bollywood stars, but also the TV industry also got engulfed with the grief of Sridevi’s untimely demise. TV celebs like Karanvir Bohra, Divyanka Tripathi, Mouni Roy, Ekta Kapoor and Hina Khan have mourned the death of the veteran actress.
Actress Divyanka Tripathi took to Twitter to pay her tribute to the actress and wrote, "I wish this wasn't true! She's gone?!! She was an ocean of talent and a wonderful homemaker! There was so much more to her...You'll be missed @SrideviBKapoor. Bidding adieu with a heavy heart. #RIP."
Divyanka also shared a video from the sets of Nach Baliye when Sridevi came as a celebrity judge. She wrote, World stopped when you moved.
