'Raj Kapoor Life Time Achievement' will be given to actor Dharmendra, decision of the Maharashtrian government

The state government has decided to award 'Raj Kapoor Life Time Achievement' to actor Dharmendra and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani

Mumbai: Famous actor of his time Dharmendra and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani will be conferred the prestigious Raj Kapoor Life Time Achievement and Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award for his outstanding contributions to the cinema.

Maharashtra minister for culture Vinod Tawde announced this on Sunday. He said that the state government has decided to give 'Raj Kapoor Life Time Achievement' to actor Dharmendra and Rajkumar Hirani.

Famous Marathi artist Vijay Chavan will be conferred the 'V Shantaram Life Time Achievement' and director and performer Mrinal Kulkarni with the 'V Shantaram Special Contribution' award.

Both Lifetime Achievement Award winners will be given cash prize of Rs. 5,00,000 and cash prize winners Rs. 3,00,000 / - These awards given by the state government will be given during the 55th Maharashtra State Marathi Film Festival.
