Cannes 2018: Sridevi to be honoured at the Film Festival, Boney Kapoor gets emotional

As per the reports Sridevi’s daughters Khushi Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor will also be attending the Cannes Film Festival on May 16, for their mom’s special tribute. 

Veteran actress Sridevi, who died in her room at a Dubai hotel due to accidental drowning on February 24, will be honoured at the Cannes Film Festival on May 16. It is going to be a red-letter day for the Hindi film industry at the 71st Cannes Film Festival this year. 

The English Vinglish actress will be remembered and honoured with a special evening of reminiscences, memories, anecdotes, and visual footage of the actress best performances.

Sridevi’s husband filmmaker Boney Kapoor turned emotional after hearing this. He said, ‘’I’m happy that people all over the world are recognising her work and contribution to cinema. Even though the overwhelming emptiness of losing her remains, it’s somewhat comforting to know that she lives on through her work.”

A report also stated that Sridevi’s daughters Khushi Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor will also be attending the Cannes Film Festival on May 16, for their mom’s special tribute. 

Earlier, Sridevi was also awarded with the Best Actress Award at the National Film Awards for her film MOM.

Sridevi will get special tribute at Cannes 2018 on May 16
